The Atlanta Hawks have released forward Caleb Houstan and intend to sign veteran center Tony Bradley for the remainder of the season, the team confirmed on Friday. ESPN’s Shams Charania first reported the impending move.

Bradley, 28, has been a free agent since January 28, when his second 10-day contract with the Indiana Pacers expired. Because he has been out of the league for more than two months, he will be eligible for the postseason. Atlanta is seeking frontcourt depth after center Jock Landale suffered a high right ankle sprain that is expected to keep him out for at least two weeks.

The 6-foot-10 center began 2025-26 on a standard deal with Indiana but was waived January 5, just before his $2,940,876 salary would have become fully guaranteed. He re-joined the Pacers on January 8 and again on January 19 under successive 10-day contracts.

Signing with Atlanta will mark Bradley’s sixth NBA stop and eighth season overall. He opened his career in Utah under then-Jazz coach Quin Snyder, who now guides the Hawks, and logged time last year with Atlanta’s G League affiliate, the College Park Skyhawks.

Houstan, 23, joined Atlanta on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 pact in August after three seasons with Orlando. He converted that deal into a two-way slot during training camp and earned a standard contract on February 19. The agreement is fully guaranteed, so the forward will collect his salary for the final nine days of the regular season before hitting unrestricted free agency this summer.

Houstan appeared in 18 games for the Hawks, averaging 4.2 minutes. With College Park he posted 16.1 points, 4.3 rebounds and 2.0 assists over 25 G League contests while shooting .391 from the field, .422 from deep and .902 at the line.

Selected 32nd overall by the Magic in the 2022 draft, Houstan played 168 games across three campaigns in Orlando prior to his brief stint in Atlanta.
