The Atlanta Hawks are expected to add rookie guard Keshon Gilbert on a two-way contract, according to league sources referenced by Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.
Gilbert, 22, went undrafted out of Iowa State in 2025. He signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Washington Wizards last September, was waived before training camp concluded, and spent most of the year with their G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go.
The 6-4 playmaker has averaged 13.7 points, 5.5 assists, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 steals in 27.4 minutes over 30 G League games, shooting 45.6% from the field, 21.0% from three-point range and 78.9% at the free-throw line. His performance earned him a 10-day call-up to Washington last month, during which he appeared in three NBA contests.
Atlanta has carried an open two-way slot since promoting Caleb Houstan to the standard roster in February, so no corresponding move is required. Gilbert will join fellow two-way players Christian Koloko and RayJ Dennis.
If the contract is finalized on Tuesday, league rules will allow Gilbert to be active for up to 12 regular-season games for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign. The signing will bring the Hawks to the maximum 18 players under contract.
