The Atlanta Hawks have reached a two-way agreement with free-agent guard RayJ Dennis, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The deal comes four days after the 6’1” floor general was waived by the Los Angeles Clippers.

Dennis, 24, becomes Atlanta’s third two-way player this season, joining center Malik Williams and forward Caleb Houstan. The Hawks created the roster slot Monday when they released forward Eli Ndiaye, who is out for the year with a shoulder injury.

The former Baylor standout is on his third team of 2025-26. He started the campaign with the Indiana Pacers on a carry-over two-way contract from last season, but Indiana let him go on November 30. He signed with the Clippers on December 4 and spent most of the month in Los Angeles before being released Saturday to clear space for guard TyTy Washington Jr.

Dennis has appeared in 25 NBA games between Indiana and L.A., averaging 3.8 points, 1.6 assists and 1.4 rebounds in 9.7 minutes per outing. His production in the G League has been far stronger: in seven games this fall with the Noblesville Boom and San Diego Clippers, he posted 20.9 points, 5.4 assists, 3.7 rebounds and 2.3 steals across 33.1 minutes.

If his contract is finalized before the end of today, Dennis may be active in up to 30 contests for Atlanta this season. His two-way salary will become fully guaranteed if he remains with the Hawks through next Wednesday, January 7.
