The Atlanta Hawks said Friday that center Kristaps Porzingis will remain sidelined for at least one more week while he continues to deal with left Achilles tendinitis.
The 29-year-old Latvian, who has already missed nine consecutive games, has resumed basketball activities but will be re-evaluated after the club’s next three contests: Saturday in Boston, Monday at home against Houston, and Wednesday in Indiana.
Atlanta offered a more optimistic update on forward Zaccharie Risacher. The second-year player and 2024 No. 1 overall draft pick is recovering from a left knee bone contusion and is now considered day-to-day after also sitting out the past nine games.
