The Atlanta Hawks’ two-year, $4.4 million offer sheet signed by center N’Faly Dante includes only an $85,300 partial guarantee in the first season, according to ESPN’s Bobby Marks during Sports Business Classroom. The figure matches the amount Dante would have received had he accepted a two-way qualifying offer from the Houston Rockets.

Houston declined to match the sheet, a decision influenced by the club’s limited space beneath the first-apron hard cap. Had the Rockets matched and later waived Dante before opening night, they would have been responsible for just the $85,300 guarantee.

Additional contract notes

Caleb Houstan joined the Hawks on a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 agreement, reports Keith Smith of Spotrac. Because Houstan has three years of NBA service, Atlanta can convert the deal into a two-way contract before the regular season.

Amir Coffey signed a non-guaranteed training-camp contract with the Milwaukee Bucks that contains Exhibit 9 protection but omits Exhibit 10 language, per Marks. Coffey’s service time disqualifies him from two-way eligibility, and the absence of an Exhibit 10 bonus signals he likely will not suit up for the Bucks’ G League affiliate if he fails to secure a roster spot.

The Boston Celtics finalized a one-year two-way agreement with rookie center Amari Williams, Marks adds.
