Grizzlies To Add Rayan Rupert On 10-Day Contract

The Memphis Grizzlies are set to sign swingman Rayan Rupert to a 10-day contract, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported on Twitter.
Rupert, a 6-foot-7 wing, was chosen 43rd overall in the 2023 NBA Draft and has spent his first two and a half seasons with the Portland Trail Blazers. Over that span, he averaged 3.2 points in 12.0 minutes per game.
This season, the 22-year-old appeared in 48 games for Portland and also logged three outings with the Rip City Remix, the Blazers’ G League affiliate. In those G League contests, he posted 12.7 points, 9.0 rebounds and 4.0 assists while shooting 36.4% from three-point range.
Rupert became available after Portland traded for Vit Krejci and welcomed Blake Wesley back from injury, moves that pushed him down the wing rotation. The Trail Blazers waived him on Friday to clear a roster spot for Sidy Cissoko’s two-year contract.
