The Memphis Grizzlies have converted forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper’s two-way contract into a two-year standard NBA deal, the club announced Wednesday morning.

No additional roster move was required because a spot on the 15-man roster opened when Rayan Rupert’s 10-day contract expired Tuesday night.

Prosper, selected 24th overall in the 2023 draft, spent his first two seasons with the Dallas Mavericks before being waived in August 2025 to help Dallas stay under the hard cap while re-signing Dante Exum. The 6-7 Canadian signed a two-way contract with Memphis less than a week later.

After a limited role early in the season, Prosper has become a rotation regular. Since making his first start on Feb. 6, he has averaged 13.9 points, 4.3 rebounds, 1.7 assists and 1.1 steals in 24.7 minutes across 10 games (seven starts) while shooting 61.1% from the field, 43.2% from three and 86.7% at the line.

Through 36 appearances overall in 2025-26, the former Marquette standout is posting career-best averages of 7.6 points, 3.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists in 15.8 minutes, hitting 54.1% of his shots, 38.9% from deep and 87.3% on free throws.

By signing Prosper to a standard contract before he reaches the 50-game limit for two-way players, the Grizzlies remove any remaining participation cap and make him eligible for the postseason. The new pact is expected to be for the league minimum because Memphis already used its full room exception last summer and does not have access to the bi-annual exception this season.

The timing of the move also allows Memphis to fill the now-vacant two-way slot ahead of Wednesday’s deadline for two-way signings.
