NEW YORK — The NBA announced Monday that Oklahoma City guard Shai Gilgeous-Alexander has been selected Western Conference Player of the Week, while Miami center Bam Adebayo has earned the same honor in the Eastern Conference.
Gilgeous-Alexander led the Thunder to a 2-1 record during the week of Jan. — Jan. , averaging 31.0 points and 4.0 assists while converting 54.7% of his field-goal attempts. The reigning Most Valuable Player secured his latest award after guiding Oklahoma City past two opponents in three games.
Adebayo averaged 27.0 points and 8.3 rebounds and shot 65.5% from beyond the arc as Miami also went 2-1. It marks the third Player of the Week nod of his career and his first since January 2024.
