Speaking to reporters on Saturday during All-Star weekend, Milwaukee Bucks forward Giannis Antetokounmpo said his strained right calf is no longer bothering him and that he feels “100 percent.” The injury has sidelined the two-time MVP since January 23.

“I feel good. I feel 100 percent, to be honest with you,” Antetokounmpo said in a media session shared by the Bucks on social media. He noted that he still must “check the boxes” of his rehabilitation program, which includes playing 1-on-1, 3-on-3 and full 5-on-5 scrimmages.

The timing of the All-Star break has complicated that process, Antetokounmpo added, because many players are away on vacation, making it harder to arrange competitive runs. “Once I check all those boxes, I’m ready to go. I feel like I can play a game today,” he said.

Head coach Doc Rivers recently indicated that Antetokounmpo was close to a return. The forward missed eight games in December with a right soleus strain and has now sat out Milwaukee’s last nine contests after reinjuring the calf in the January 23 loss to Denver.

Despite being selected to his 10th consecutive All-Star Game, Antetokounmpo will not participate in Sunday’s exhibition. Spurs guard De’Aaron Fox was chosen as his replacement.

Because of his extended absence, Antetokounmpo is ineligible for major postseason awards this season. His streak of nine straight All-NBA selections—including seven first-team appearances—will end in 2025/26.

The Bucks and their franchise star are expected to revisit conversations about his long-term future this summer after no trade materialized before the February 5 deadline.
