French veteran Nando De Colo said he will end his playing career when Fenerbahçe’s 2025/26 campaign concludes, confirming the decision in an interview with BeBasket.

“This will be my last season,” the 38-year-old guard stated. “I’ve had it in the back of my mind since the start of the year.”

Decorated EuroLeague Career

De Colo is one of the most prolific guards in EuroLeague history. He won championships with CSKA Moscow in 2016 and Fenerbahçe in 2019, captured league MVP honors in 2016, earned a place on the EuroLeague All-Decade Team for the 2010s, and was selected to the competition’s 25th-anniversary squad in 2025.

The 6’5” playmaker ranks second all-time in EuroLeague scoring, sits 10th in assists, and is fourth in steals.

Stint in the NBA

San Antonio drafted De Colo 53rd overall in 2009, bringing him to the NBA in 2012 after three draft-and-stash seasons in Europe. He appeared in 119 games over two years with the Spurs and Raptors, averaging 3.8 points, 1.8 rebounds, and 1.7 assists in 11.9 minutes per night on .429/.363/.835 shooting.

Limited playing time prompted a return to Europe in 2014. Toronto held his restricted free-agent rights by issuing yearly qualifying offers through 2022 before renouncing them at the 2023 trade deadline.

Club Stops Around Europe

Before and after his NBA tenure, De Colo played for Cholet (France, 2006-09), Valencia (Spain, 2009-12), CSKA Moscow (2014-19), Fenerbahçe (2019-22 and 2025/26), and ASVEL (France, 2022-25).

International Success

With France’s national team, De Colo collected Olympic silver medals in 2020 and 2024, a World Cup bronze in 2019, and three EuroBasket medals, highlighted by gold in 2013.

Fenerbahçe’s 2025/26 season will now serve as the final chapter of a career that has spanned two continents, multiple championships, and more than two decades on the court.
