With EuroBasket set to open on Wednesday, Estonia, Great Britain and Belgium have each submitted their official 12-player rosters.
Estonia
Former NBA forward Henri Drell headlines Estonia’s lineup. The 24-year-old saw brief action with Chicago on a two-way contract in 2023/24, totaling 11 points, three rebounds and four assists across four games. After spending last season in the G League with the Rip City Remix and later moving to Spain’s La Laguna Tenerife, Drell now leads a squad that also features Märt Rosenthal, Sander Raieste, Kaspar Treier, Mikk Jurkatamm, Matthias Tass, Siim-Sander Vene, Kregor Hermet, Janari Jõesaar, Joonas Riismaa, Artur Konontšuk and Kristian Kullamäe.
Estonia competes in Group A alongside Portugal, Turkey, Serbia, the Czech Republic and host nation Latvia.
Great Britain
Center Gabe Olaseni, currently starring in Turkey’s Basketball Super League, anchors Great Britain’s roster. Joining him are Amin Adamu, Dan Akin, Jubrile Belo, Myles Hesson, Luke Nelson, Tarik Phillip, Josh Ward-Hibbert, Jelani Watson-Gayle, Pat Whelan, Carl Wheatle and Akwasi Yeboah.
The British team, which has not advanced beyond group play in six previous EuroBasket appearances, is placed in Group B with Germany, Lithuania, Sweden, Montenegro and host Finland.
Belgium
Belgium’s 12-man list includes Ismael Bako, Mamadou Guisse, Manu Lecomte, Siebe Ledegen, Joppe Mennes, Jean-Marc Mwema, Loic Schwartz, Godwin Tshimanga, Kevin Tumba, Niels Van Den Eynde, Andy Van Vliet and Hans Vanwijn. The Belgians, seeking their first EuroBasket medal in their 19th appearance, last reached fourth place in 1947.
Belgium will play in Group D with France, Iceland, Slovenia, Israel and host Poland.
As of Monday morning, Cyprus, Georgia and Italy remain the only countries in the 24-team field yet to finalize their rosters.
