The Milwaukee Bucks have reached a two-way agreement with forward Alex Antetokounmpo, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported. To create roster space, Milwaukee will waive guard Jamaree Bouyea, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.
Alex joins brothers Giannis and Thanasis Antetokounmpo, making the Bucks the first NBA team to carry three siblings on active contracts simultaneously. The 22-year-old spent the past three seasons in the G League and overseas, most recently playing in Lithuania, Montenegro and Greece.
Heat
Second-year center Kel’el Ware continues to push for a larger role in Miami after posting 24 points, 10 rebounds and two steals in a preseason loss to the Orlando Magic. Head coach Erik Spoelstra said he is challenging Ware to “find winning moments” and praised his willingness to be coached.
Spoelstra publicly questioned Ware’s professionalism during Summer League, but the 20-year-old appears to have responded positively. Ware started alongside Bam Adebayo late last season, yet Spoelstra has not committed to repeating that lineup, noting that “all things are on the table.”
Wizards
The Washington Wizards signed guards Kadary Richmond and Alondes Williams to Exhibit 10 contracts while waiving forward Leaky Black and center Skal Labissière. Richmond averaged 12.4 points and 6.4 rebounds last season at St. John’s, while Williams has held two-way deals with Brooklyn, Miami and Detroit.
Both newcomers are expected to compete for spots with Washington’s G League affiliate, the Capital City Go-Go. Exhibit 10 contracts include a bonus if a player remains with the G League club for at least 60 days.
The Wizards now have 21 players, the preseason roster maximum.
