Houston Rockets forward Kevin Durant said he is willing to suit up for Team USA at the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics—if he still feels like himself on the court.

“Yeah, if I’m still me,” the 15-time All-Star told reporters earlier this week when asked about chasing a fifth gold medal. “I don’t want the gift of the veteran, like, come sit on the end of the bench and get your fifth.”

Durant, 36, became the first men’s basketball player to claim four Olympic gold medals when the United States won in Paris last summer. He also acknowledged he has thought about coaching after his playing career, saying, “Some days I would, some days I wouldn’t. It’s tough dealing with personalities. But we’ll see.”

Boston heads to EuroLeague champion Fenerbahce

Guard Brandon Boston Jr. said conversations with former Trail Blazers star CJ McCollum and McCollum’s older brother—and new teammate—Errick McCollum convinced him to sign with Fenerbahce. The four-year NBA veteran joins the reigning EuroLeague champions for the upcoming season.

Cousins re-signs with Selenge Bodons

Four-time NBA All-Star DeMarcus Cousins announced on Facebook that he will return to the Selenge Bodons in Mongolia for the 2025-26 campaign. “Can’t wait to get back to Mongolia and finish what we started and try to bring home a championship!” wrote the 34-year-old center, whose last NBA action came with Denver in 2021-22.

NBA, UK government invest in British basketball

The NBA and the United Kingdom will each invest £5 million to accelerate basketball’s growth across the country, Basketball England confirmed. “Basketball is booming in Britain and this investment will help take it to the next level, opening up the game to thousands more people right across the country,” Prime Minister Keir Starmer said in a statement.

As part of the initiative, the NBA will stage regular-season games in London in 2026 and Manchester in 2027 and continues work on a potential Europe-based league that could debut as early as 2027.
