The Los Angeles Lakers were routed 133-104 by the Oklahoma City Thunder on Thursday night in Oklahoma City, falling behind early and never recovering.

Who: Luka Doncic registered a season-low 19 points, shooting 7-for-20 from the field.
What: The 29-point defeat was effectively decided before the fourth quarter.
Where: Paycom Center, Oklahoma City.
When: Thursday, Nov. 30.
How: Oklahoma City blanketed Doncic with traps and timely double-teams, the same strategy it used against Golden State’s Stephen Curry a night earlier.

Afterward, the star guard said the lopsided loss would serve as motivation rather than a sign of a larger gap between the teams.

“Definitely wasn’t our best game, probably one of the worst this season,” Doncic told reporters. “They all did a great job on me. They’re champions for a reason. They showed that. We need to be more ready. Obviously, it starts with me. I need to be way better than that.”

Injury Note

Rookie forward Adou Thiero, selected 36th overall in the 2025 NBA Draft, is listed as questionable for Friday’s matchup in New Orleans. Thiero has yet to make his NBA debut while completing rehab from left knee surgery performed during his college career.

The Lakers face the Pelicans on Friday looking to bounce back from their heaviest defeat of the season.
