Doncic, Brunson Earn NBA Player of the Week Honors

NEW YORK – Dec. 1, 2025 — NBA Communications named Los Angeles Lakers guard Luka Doncic and New York Knicks guard Jalen Brunson the Western and Eastern Conference Players of the Week, respectively.
Doncic powered the Lakers to a 3-0 record during the week, producing averages of 37.3 points, 10.3 assists and 8.7 rebounds.
Brunson guided the Knicks to four victories, putting up 28.8 points and 4.5 assists per game while converting 40.7 percent of his three-point attempts. The honor marks his seventh Eastern Conference selection since arriving in New York.
The former Dallas Mavericks backcourt partners edged out several candidates. Western Conference nominees were Zach Edey (Grizzlies), Anthony Edwards (Timberwolves), Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (Thunder), Jamal Murray (Nuggets) and Austin Reaves (Lakers). Eastern Conference nominees included Desmond Bane (Magic), Jaylen Brown (Celtics), Tyler Herro (Heat), Jalen Johnson (Hawks) and Pascal Siakam (Pacers).
