Guard Rob Dillingham is beginning to carve out a role with Chicago after arriving from Minnesota at last month’s trade deadline. Over his past three appearances, the former Timberwolves lottery pick is averaging 13 points and five assists while hitting 6-of-15 from beyond the arc (40%).
Dillingham said the consistent minutes provided by head coach Billy Donovan have restored his confidence. He credited Donovan for allowing him to play with freedom and added that the opportunity has helped him “feel renewed” following a difficult stretch earlier in the season.
Team intends to keep Ivey
Fellow deadline acquisition Jaden Ivey, limited to four games with the Bulls because of lingering soreness in his left knee, is on track to become a restricted free agent in July. Donovan acknowledged the guard’s brief on-court time but reiterated the organization’s plan to retain the 22-year-old. Ivey will be re-evaluated next week.

He was previously named the league’s Player of the Month for February.
