Sacramento, Calif. — Forward De’Andre Hunter could face the Cleveland Cavaliers as soon as Saturday, provided a three-team trade becomes official in time.

The proposed deal would send Hunter from Atlanta to the Sacramento Kings, while guard Dennis Schröder and two-way guard Keon Ellis would move to Cleveland. Chicago is also involved, slated to receive center Dario Šarić and two second-round draft picks. Two-way forward Emanuel Miller is expected to join the Cavaliers.

League approval and physical examinations are still pending, and the trade had not been formally announced as of Sunday at 3:30 a.m. PT. Because of those requirements, none of the players are likely to suit up before Wednesday.

If the timeline holds, the newcomers could see their former clubs quickly. Cleveland makes its only visit of the season to Golden 1 Center on Saturday. Meanwhile, Sacramento hosts Memphis on Wednesday and the L.A. Clippers on Friday before meeting the Cavaliers.

Cleveland is currently on a West Coast swing, playing in Portland on Sunday and against the Clippers on Wednesday, which may ease logistics for Schröder, Ellis and Miller.
