Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said Stephen Curry “looked good” during a Thursday scrimmage, noting the All-Star guard is “looking like Steph Curry” as he works back from patellofemoral pain syndrome in his right knee. The team has not yet cleared him for Sunday’s game; that decision will be made by Curry and team medical director Rick Celebrini, with a final call expected soon. Curry has been sidelined since late January.
Detroit Pistons
Forward Tobias Harris departed Thursday night’s matchup with the Minnesota Timberwolves after sustaining a left knee contusion and did not return, the Pistons announced. Harris has started all 59 games he has appeared in this season and is slated to enter unrestricted free agency this summer.
Philadelphia 76ers
Center Joel Embiid is listed as doubtful for Friday’s contest against Minnesota because of an illness, according to Adam Aaronson of PhillyVoice. Embiid also missed Wednesday’s victory over the Washington Wizards with the same ailment, putting him at risk of sitting out a second straight game.
