The Los Angeles Clippers, Phoenix Suns and Brooklyn Nets each registered important wins on Sunday, bolstering their respective positions with only a handful of games left in the NBA regular season.
Clippers 138, Kings 109
Los Angeles jumped out quickly in Sacramento, riding 13 first-quarter points from Kawhi Leonard to an early double-digit cushion. Leonard finished with 26 points, while John Collins chipped in 25. Darius Garland and Kobe Sanders added 17 apiece as the Clippers moved into a tie with Portland for eighth place in the Western Conference. Four games remain on their schedule.
Suns 120, Bulls 110
Phoenix halted a two-game slide by holding off Chicago. Devin Booker poured in 30 points and Jalen Green supplied 25. Dillon Brooks delivered 15 points and keyed an 11-2 surge in the closing minutes, highlighted by a turnaround jumper and a three-pointer that helped the Suns pull away after the Bulls had narrowed the gap.
Nets 121, Wizards 115
Brooklyn earned just its second win in 14 outings, edging Washington behind Nolan Traore’s 23 points and seven assists. Jalen Wilson contributed 19 points. An 8-0 burst late in the fourth quarter proved decisive, with Traore’s layup pushing the Nets in front 109-105 with two minutes to go. The result keeps Brooklyn slightly ahead of Washington in the race for draft lottery positioning.
