The Los Angeles Clippers have signed guard Jason Preston to a training-camp contract, Spotrac contributor Keith Smith reported on August 13, 2025.

Preston, 26, was selected by the Clippers early in the second round of the 2021 NBA Draft after a standout career at Ohio University. Injuries have limited his NBA impact; he missed his entire rookie season with a right-foot injury and has appeared in only 21 NBA games overall.

The 6-foot-4 point guard began the 2023-24 campaign with the Memphis Hustle, the G League affiliate of the Memphis Grizzlies. He later joined the Utah Jazz on a two-way deal in January, splitting time between the NBA roster and the Salt Lake City Stars before a November calf strain led to his release.

Across stints with the Clippers and Jazz, Preston owns career averages of 2.5 points, 2.0 assists and 1.9 rebounds in limited minutes.

According to Hoops Rumors’ roster tracker, Preston becomes the 20th player on the Clippers’ camp roster. If his agreement is an Exhibit 10 contract, he could earn a bonus of up to $85,300 by joining the G League’s San Diego Clippers for at least 60 days if waived before the regular season.
