The Los Angeles Clippers rejected several late offers for Kawhi Leonard before Thursday’s NBA trade deadline, but league sources told Marc Stein of The Stein Line that rival clubs plan to pursue the forward again once the season ends.

Multiple teams phoned in the final hour after reports surfaced that Los Angeles had agreed to send center Ivica Zubac to the Indiana Pacers. The Clippers entertained those inquiries yet ultimately kept Leonard, according to the report.

The 6-foot-7 veteran is under contract for one more year at $50.3 million and can become an unrestricted free agent in the summer of 2025. With Leonard turning 35 in June, his contract situation is expected to fuel further discussions when the league’s trade market reopens.

Since signing with the Clippers in 2019, Leonard’s availability has often overshadowed the club’s championship ambitions. Injuries have limited him at key moments, and the franchise has yet to reach the NBA Finals during his tenure.

At this year’s deadline, Los Angeles reshaped its roster by moving James Harden and Zubac while designating Leonard as the centerpiece. That stance could shift in June, when teams gain offseason flexibility and revisit proposals for the two-time Finals MVP.
