Indiana Pacers head coach Rick Carlisle said on 107.5 FM “The Fan” in Indianapolis that guard Mac McClung stood out during a three-player workout Monday, leading the club to offer him a non-guaranteed contract. Carlisle praised the three-time dunk contest champion’s energy and positional versatility, noting that McClung “didn’t dunk once” during the session but showed he could score and handle either guard spot.
According to HoopsHype, the 25-year-old signed a two-year, minimum-salary agreement worth $2,283,168 for 2025-26, with a team option for 2026-27. The salary becomes fully guaranteed only if McClung remains on the roster past Jan. 7.
Chicago monitoring Coby White’s calf strain
Chicago Bulls guard Coby White will be re-evaluated next week, but head coach Billy Donovan cautioned that the “tricky” calf injury may still sideline him. Donovan said White feels no pain while shooting or jogging, yet experiences discomfort during sudden stops and explosive movements that occur in live practice action.
LaVine returns to United Center as a visitor
Wednesday’s matchup between the Bulls and Sacramento Kings marks Zach LaVine’s first appearance in Chicago since February’s trade. Center Nikola Vucevic hopes fans offer a warm reception, emphasizing LaVine’s years of effort and commitment to the franchise.
Bucks get early contributions from Green and Rollins
The Milwaukee Bucks have opened the season 3-1 thanks in part to recent signees A.J. Green and Ryan Rollins. Green is averaging 3.3 made three-pointers per game while shooting 59.1% from long range. Rollins has moved into the starting point-guard role after Kevin Porter Jr.’s ankle injury and is posting 15.3 points, 4.3 assists and 3.0 steals a night.
Milwaukee inked Green to a four-year, $45 million extension earlier this month, while Rollins joined on a three-year, $12 million free-agent deal in July.
