The Boston Celtics, Minnesota Timberwolves and Sacramento Kings each added a player on Exhibit 10 agreements as training camps approach.

Boston Celtics

Boston completed its 21-man preseason group by signing guard/forward Wendell Moore Jr. to an Exhibit 10 contract. The 24-year-old was selected 26th overall in the 2022 draft and split last season between Minnesota, Detroit and Charlotte. He logged his most substantial NBA minutes with the Hornets, averaging 5.4 points, 3.2 rebounds and 1.2 assists in 17.5 minutes across 16 games.

The Celtics currently carry 14 standard contracts and three two-way deals and are not expected to add a 15th guaranteed player for tax reasons. Moore’s clearest path to sticking would be claiming one of the club’s two-way slots; if he is waived, he could join the G League’s Maine Celtics and earn an Exhibit 10 bonus of up to $85,300.

Minnesota Timberwolves

Minnesota extended a training-camp invitation to veteran forward Alize Johnson, 29, through a non-guaranteed Exhibit 10 deal. The 50th pick in the 2018 draft has appeared in 76 NBA games with six teams, most recently the San Antonio Spurs in 2022. Johnson spent the past two seasons overseas, playing in South Korea, Puerto Rico and Japan. The Timberwolves still have three open camp spots, so no additional roster move was necessary.

Sacramento Kings

The Kings brought back shooting guard Dexter Dennis on an Exhibit 10 contract. Undrafted in 2023, the 26-year-old averaged 13.9 points, 3.9 rebounds and 2.2 assists in 31 minutes for the Stockton Kings last season, helping the team capture the G League championship. His new deal positions him for another year in Stockton, where he can secure an Exhibit 10 bonus by remaining at least 60 days.

With Dennis signed, Sacramento’s training-camp roster stands at the league-maximum 21 players. Should the reported agreement with forward Daniel Batcho be finalized, the club would need to waive someone to stay within the limit.
