Tatum Completes Another Full Practice but Won’t Commit to Return Date

Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum took part in a full five-on-five workout earlier this week for the second time since tearing his Achilles, but the All-Star insists a comeback date has not been set.
Tatum traveled with the team on its West Coast trip and practiced Saturday in Santa Monica. Speaking after the session, he emphasized that his status remains day-to-day.
“Nothing is set in stone,” Tatum said. “It’s more about working out, seeing how you recover the next day, then making a plan from there.”
The Celtics have treated the 25-year-old’s rehab cautiously, focusing on how his body responds rather than targeting a specific game for his return. “We’re just going with the plan,” he added.
Boston entered Saturday at 36-19, near the top of the Eastern Conference standings. The club has continued to win without its leading scorer, but Tatum’s eventual return could elevate expectations for another NBA Finals run.
