CLEVELAND — Cavaliers center Jarrett Allen offered a reassuring update after leaving Tuesday night’s 113-109 victory over the Detroit Pistons at Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse.

“I’ll be all right,” Allen told Associated Press reporter Tom Withers in a hallway following the game.

The 27-year-old exited roughly midway through the third quarter with what the team listed as a right knee injury. Head coach Kenny Atkinson said Allen appeared to collide knee-to-knee with a Detroit player, but added that no further information was available. “That’s the only update I got. We’ll see tomorrow,” Atkinson said.

A Cavaliers source told Hoops Wire that social-media video purporting to show the exact moment of the injury “may not be accurate.”

Allen has been in the midst of what many around the team consider the best stretch of his career. Cleveland now has four days off before hosting the Boston Celtics on Sunday, giving Allen — and injured All-Star guard Donovan Mitchell — additional time to recover.

The win moved the Cavaliers to 41-21 on the season.
