The Cleveland Cavaliers waived two-way forward Chris Livingston on Tuesday following a recent hand injury that is expected to keep him out for roughly one month, according to reports from Cleveland.com and HoopsHype.
Livingston, 20, signed his two-way contract with Cleveland in late October. He logged three NBA appearances for the Cavaliers this season and played 16 games with their G League affiliate, the Cleveland Charge, where he averaged 16.1 points and 5.1 rebounds in 25 minutes per contest.
The 6-foot-6 wing was selected 58th overall by the Milwaukee Bucks in the 2023 draft. Over two seasons with Milwaukee, he saw limited action, averaging 4.7 minutes across 42 games. After a strong showing with the Bucks’ Summer League squad last July, he earned a fully guaranteed one-year, minimum-salary deal but was waived before the regular season due to roster constraints.
Cleveland has dealt with multiple injuries throughout its roster and now has an open two-way slot. Forward NaeQwan Tomlin and wing Luke Travers currently hold the team’s other two two-way positions.
