The Cleveland Cavaliers will launch their 2024–25 preparations at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Florida, holding training camp from September 30 through October 5, the team announced.

This marks the second straight year the franchise has chosen the Gulf Coast facility. Cleveland became the first NBA club to stage camp at IMG last fall and has elected to repeat the experience.

“Returning to IMG Academy is a testament to the tremendous experience we had there last year,” president of basketball operations Koby Altman said in a statement, noting the venue’s impact on preseason preparations and team bonding.

The academy offers multiple basketball courts, advanced training equipment and extensive space for strength and conditioning sessions, giving players a week to work and reconnect before the regular schedule intensifies.

Training camp will be preceded by Media Day on September 29 at Rocket Arena. The Cavaliers begin preseason play at home against the Chicago Bulls on October 7, visit Chicago and Boston, and conclude the exhibition slate on October 14 against the Detroit Pistons.

After a final stretch in Florida sunshine, Cleveland will return north to shift its focus to the regular season.
