The Cleveland Cavaliers, Sacramento Kings and Chicago Bulls have agreed to a three-team trade that is expected to be made official in the next day or two, according to multiple reports.
What Cleveland gets
The Cavaliers will acquire guards Keon Ellis and Dennis Schroder from Sacramento, along with two-way forward Emanuel Miller from Chicago. To open a two-way slot, Cleveland plans to waive wing Luke Travers.
Chicago’s return
The Bulls will receive forward Dario Saric from the Kings and two second-round draft picks. Chicago will clear a roster spot by waiving guard Jevon Carter.
Sacramento’s move
The Kings will land forward DeAndre Hunter from the Cavaliers. The deal also frees a roster position that Sacramento intends to use to promote center Dylan Cardwell from his two-way contract to the standard roster.
Roster implications
After the trade, Cleveland’s standard roster will be full, which complicates the status of forward NaeQwan Tomlin, who is approaching the NBA’s 50-game limit for two-way players. League sources expect the Cavaliers to convert Tomlin to a standard deal through another transaction or a post-deadline move.
The transaction serves as both a roster reshuffle and a salary-cap maneuver for all three clubs, each addressing short-term needs while preserving flexibility for the remainder of the season.
