The Cleveland Cavaliers have secured two-way forward Emanuel Miller from the Chicago Bulls as part of a three-team agreement that also involves the Sacramento Kings, according to Julia Poe of the Chicago Tribune.
Under the terms of the transaction, Cleveland will also receive guard Dennis Schroder and guard Keon Ellis. Sacramento acquires forward DeAndre Hunter, while Chicago adds center Dario Saric and two second-round draft selections.
To create roster space, the Cavaliers intend to waive two-way forward Luke Travers. The Bulls will release guard Jevon Carter.
Miller, 25, is a 6-foot-5 power forward who appeared in six games for Chicago last season and has played in five contests this year, averaging 2.3 points and 1.0 rebound.
The trade leaves Cleveland without an available standard roster spot to convert two-way big man NaeQwan Tomlin, though league sources told Hoops Wire that a move could occur before the Feb. 5 trade deadline. Tomlin is approaching the NBA’s 50-game cap for two-way players.
