The Cleveland Cavaliers have converted Cleveland Charge guard Darius Brown II to a two-way contract, the team announced on Wednesday.
Brown, 26, joins the NBA roster after going undrafted out of Utah State in 2024 and spending the past two Octobers in training camp with Cleveland on Exhibit 10 agreements. Since turning professional, the 6-foot-2 playmaker has logged 78 appearances for the Charge, becoming a steady contributor in the G League.
This season, Brown is averaging 12.4 points, 9.7 assists, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 steals over 34 G League games while shooting nearly 40 percent from three-point range. He will occupy the two-way spot previously held by forward Emanuel Miller, who was waived.
Miller, a 6-foot-5 Canadian, arrived in a recent three-team trade involving the Bulls and Kings but never suited up for Cleveland. Earlier this year he played 11 NBA games with Chicago and has averaged 17.4 points and 6.5 rebounds across 24 G League contests split between the Windy City Bulls and the Charge.
With Brown joining guard Sam Merrill, the Cavaliers are believed to be the first NBA franchise to roster two Utah State alumni at the same time.
