The Chicago Bulls overturned a 24-point hole on Tuesday night to beat the Philadelphia 76ers, 113-111, registering the NBA’s largest comeback of the young season, according to ESPN’s Jamal Collier. The victory at United Center improved Chicago’s record to 6-1.

Josh Giddey powered the rally with 29 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists, securing his second consecutive triple-double. The 21-year-old guard, who signed a four-year, $100 million contract in the offseason, is the first Bull to log back-to-back triple-doubles since Michael Jordan.

“Tonight was one of the best wins I’ve ever been a part of,” Giddey said afterward, noting the team’s turnaround after “how bad we were” early in the third quarter.

Nikola Vucevic delivered the deciding basket in the closing seconds but cautioned that Chicago cannot rely on late surges. “We have to play better from the beginning,” the veteran center said.

Injury and roster updates

Head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that Coby White, sidelined by a calf strain, remains “a couple weeks away,” even though the guard is already sprinting and cutting at full speed. Donovan added that the organization will not accelerate White’s timetable.

With seven Bulls entering contract years, Donovan stressed the need for collective play. “Free agency will get here in July,” he said. “We’ve got to rely on each other.”

Rookie forward Noa Essengue was recalled after a three-day stint with the Windy City Bulls of the G League. Donovan anticipates frequent assignments between the two squads to maximize the first-year player’s development.
