The Chicago Bulls issued medical updates Tuesday on guards Anfernee Simons and Jaden Ivey, outlining the next steps in each player’s recovery.

Simons to Be Evaluated Again in 10 Days

Simons, 26, recently met with team doctors to assess the left-wrist fracture he aggravated on February 21. Although the Bulls said he is “making progress,” the combo guard will not return immediately and is scheduled for another check-up in 10 days.

Head coach Billy Donovan told reporters that Simons took limited shots during last Tuesday’s shootaround but still felt pain, particularly when catching and dribbling. The injury was first suffered during Boston’s training camp, yet Simons played most of the season before the recent setback. He has missed Chicago’s last 10 contests and, based on the new timeline, will be sidelined for at least four more, including next Wednesday’s game in Philadelphia.

Ivey Set for Re-evaluation in One Week

The club also reported progress for Ivey, who has been managing left-knee soreness. The 24-year-old will be reevaluated in one week as he continues a strength-building program on the same knee he fractured on January 1, 2025.

Ivey last appeared on February 11, the Bulls’ final game before the All-Star break, and has now missed 12 straight outings. The earliest he could return is after next Monday’s home matchup with Houston, when the team expects to provide another update. Over the weekend, Ivey worked out with Chicago’s G League affiliate to test the knee in game-like situations.
