Rival Clubs Believe Bulls Will Entertain Trade Offers for Coby White

League executives increasingly think the Chicago Bulls will listen to trade proposals for guard Coby White, according to Marc Stein’s newsletter, The Stein Line.

White, 23, is in the final season of a $12.9 million contract and will enter unrestricted free agency next summer. Because the deal expires in July, matching his salary in a potential trade is considered straightforward, but front offices worry about acquiring a player who could leave after only a few months.

Stein reported that while multiple teams admire White’s scoring ability and potential, they are hesitant to surrender significant assets without confidence he would sign a long-term extension—an outcome viewed as unlikely before he tests the open market.

Chicago’s task, therefore, is finding a partner willing to offer meaningful value despite the contract uncertainty. For now, rival clubs are monitoring the situation closely as the trade landscape begins to form ahead of the NBA’s deadline.
