Coby White has emerged as the Chicago Bulls’ most likely trade candidate with the NBA deadline approaching, according to multiple league insiders.

Jake Fischer of The Stein Line reported that White, Ayo Dosunmu and Tre Jones have all attracted interest, but executives consider White the player most apt to be moved. Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times likewise noted that White’s name surfaces most often in both internal and external conversations.

Chicago is signaling a preference to keep Dosunmu long term. Brett Siegel of ClutchPoints wrote that the Bulls are more inclined to pursue an extension with Dosunmu than with White, a stance influenced by financial considerations and roster fit.

Both guards are headed toward unrestricted free agency. White is expected to seek a larger contract after turning down a four-year offer worth roughly $87 million. While the Bulls possess the salary-cap flexibility and Bird rights to exceed that figure, a sizable commitment to White is complicated by last summer’s four-year, $100 million agreement with Josh Giddey.

Dosunmu is viewed as a smoother on-court partner for Giddey, whereas White is most effective when he initiates the offense.

The Minnesota Timberwolves remain a consistent suitor, Fischer added, though the organization is wary of paying a premium for a player who could leave in free agency. The Houston Rockets and Los Angeles Clippers have also been linked to White, with Chicago showing exploratory interest in Houston’s young assets.
