The Chicago Bulls have agreed to sign free-agent forward Kevin Knox, according to league sources cited by Michael Scotto of HoopsHype.
Contract terms were not disclosed, but the agreement is expected to be an Exhibit 10 deal. Such a contract would grant Chicago Knox’s G League rights and make him eligible for a bonus of up to $85,300 if he remains with the Windy City Bulls for at least 60 days.
Knox, 26, split last season between the NBA and the G League. He averaged 25.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in 12 regular-season games for the Santa Cruz Warriors before signing two 10-day contracts with Golden State in February and March, eventually securing a rest-of-season deal. He saw limited action in 14 NBA appearances.
The 6-foot-7 forward was the ninth overall pick in the 2018 draft and spent three-plus seasons with the New York Knicks. He was traded to the Atlanta Hawks in January 2022, signed with the Detroit Pistons that summer, and was dealt to the Portland Trail Blazers at the 2023 trade deadline. Knox returned to Detroit as a free agent in November 2023 and was later traded to the Utah Jazz at the 2024 deadline.
Over seven NBA seasons, Knox has played in 320 games, posting career averages of 7.3 points and 2.8 rebounds while shooting .393 from the field, .340 from three-point range, and .723 at the free-throw line.
Chicago currently has 19 players under contract, two below the offseason roster limit, so no additional moves are required before finalizing Knox’s deal.
