The Milwaukee Bucks have shown interest in acquiring guards Ja Morant and Zach LaVine, league sources told Jim Owczarski of the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
Milwaukee is reportedly searching for additional scoring and shot creation to support Giannis Antetokounmpo after an inconsistent start to the season.
Morant, a two-time All-Star whose name has circulated in trade discussions as the Memphis Grizzlies weigh offers, would be a high-risk, high-reward target. The 24-year-old is signed through the 2027-28 season on a maximum-salary contract, and his recent injuries and reported friction with Memphis complicate any deal. Matching his salary and absorbing the associated risk would be necessary hurdles for the Bucks or any other suitor.
LaVine, described as a scoring upgrade from the Sacramento Kings, carries a different set of considerations. While his offensive talent is viewed as a cleaner fit, front offices continue to weigh his long-term salary commitments and defensive questions.
Throughout the process, executives around the league indicate the Bucks remain cautious about taking on contracts that could restrict future roster flexibility.
