Milwaukee secures familiar face for Giannis

The Milwaukee Bucks have brought back forward Thanasis Antetokounmpo on a one-year, $2.9 million fully guaranteed contract, the team announced. The 32-year-old, who underwent Achilles surgery last spring, has been cleared to play and is currently competing for Greece.

Milwaukee now holds 15 guaranteed contracts, a total that could jeopardize rookie guard Andre Jackson Jr.’s place on the roster. Re-signing Giannis Antetokounmpo’s older brother is viewed as another step toward keeping the two-time MVP content in Milwaukee after offseason speculation about his future.

Celtics projected to fall short of the Finals

Bleacher Report columnist Grant Hughes predicted Boston will not return to the NBA Finals with Jayson Tatum as its leading star. Hughes wrote that Tatum will miss the entire upcoming season due to a torn Achilles and suggested the Celtics’ core could become too expensive and too old to contend by the time he returns. He also floated the possibility that Boston might eventually consider trading Jaylen Brown and Derrick White.

Miami continues search for Terry Rozier trade partner

The Miami Heat remain active in exploring trade scenarios for veteran guard Terry Rozier, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line. League interest is reportedly limited. Rozier, who averaged 10.6 points in 64 games last season, is owed two more years on his contract, starting at $26.6 million in 2024-25. Miami has shown some openness to a potential buyout, though no move is considered imminent.
