The Milwaukee Bucks are evaluating trade possibilities in an effort to strengthen the roster around star forward Giannis Antetokounmpo, according to a report from Sam Amick of The Athletic.

League sources told Amick that Milwaukee has shown interest in four high-profile players: Zach LaVine and Malik Monk of the Kings, Anthony Davis of the Mavericks, and Michael Porter Jr. of the Nets.

As of early this week, no active negotiations were taking place regarding LaVine or Monk, the report said. The Bucks have also expressed interest in Davis, but sources indicated there is currently no viable path to completing such a deal. Milwaukee is among several teams said to be monitoring Porter’s situation.

Milwaukee enters the week at 17-21, sitting outside the Eastern Conference playoff picture, a position that has heightened expectations of roster moves before the Feb. 5 trade deadline.

The contracts involved present a significant hurdle: LaVine is earning $47.5 million this season, Monk $18.8 million, Davis $54.1 million and Porter $38.3 million. Any trade would need to account for those salaries within the league’s cap restrictions.

Despite the uncertainty, Antetokounmpo recently affirmed his commitment to the Bucks, emphasizing that he remains focused on helping the team reverse its fortunes while management seeks additional support.
