Denver guard Christian Braun has been listed as questionable for Tuesday’s matchup in Detroit, signaling a possible end to the left-ankle sprain that has limited him to 14 appearances this season. The 24-year-old first hurt the ankle on November 12, tried to return on January 4, played three games, then landed back on the injury list for several weeks.

Even if Braun plays, Denver will still be short-handed. Forward Cameron Johnson remains out with a right-knee bone bruise, and Aaron Gordon continues to recover from a right-hamstring strain.

League-wide Updates

Houston Rockets: Kevin Durant missed his first contest of the season Sunday with a left-ankle sprain. Head coach Ime Udoka told reporters he expects the former MVP to return quickly. Houston beat Indiana with rookie Reed Sheppard in the starting lineup.

Portland Trail Blazers: Guard Scoot Henderson is listed as doubtful for Tuesday’s game against Phoenix. The rookie, sidelined all season by a hamstring tear, said Sunday he feels “amazing” and ready to play after missing Portland’s first 50 games.

San Antonio Spurs: Center Victor Wembanyama was questionable Sunday because of left-calf soreness, while guard Stephon Castle sat out with left-adductor tightness. Head coach Mitch Johnson described both issues as minor, noting the decision to rest Castle was influenced by a recent back-to-back.
