Toronto Raptors forward Brandon Ingram has been selected to the NBA All-Star Game as an injury replacement for Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry, the league announced Friday.

Commissioner Adam Silver chose the 28-year-old wing to fill Curry’s spot on the USA Stripes squad, which will also feature veterans LeBron James, Kevin Durant and Kawhi Leonard. Curry was ruled out of Sunday’s showcase because of a lingering knee issue.

The appearance marks Ingram’s second career All-Star nod and his first since 2020, when he represented the New Orleans Pelicans. Acquired by Toronto at last season’s trade deadline, he missed the remainder of the 2024-25 campaign with an ankle injury and did not debut for the Raptors until the fall.

Through 52 starts this season, the 10-year veteran is averaging 22.0 points, 5.8 rebounds and 3.7 assists in 34.0 minutes while shooting 47.2 percent from the field, 36.4 percent from three and 83.5 percent at the free-throw line. His scoring leads a Toronto club that sits fifth in the Eastern Conference at 32-22.

Raptors forward Scottie Barnes had already been chosen for the All-Star Game and will compete for the USA Stars. The revamped format features three teams: Ingram’s USA Stripes, Barnes’ USA Stars and Team World, composed of international players.
