The Portland Trail Blazers have secured shooting guard Shaedon Sharpe with a four-year contract extension worth $90 million, according to ESPN’s Shams Charania.

Sharpe, the No. 7 pick in the 2022 NBA Draft, joined Portland after reclassifying for one season at Kentucky, where he ultimately never appeared in a game. The 21-year-old has started 92 of his 184 career contests and posted career-best averages of 18.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists last season, though his efficiency and defense have been inconsistent.

Portland has prioritized defensive-oriented players across the roster, and Sharpe’s high-volume scoring is expected to remain a key component of the club’s offensive strategy.

The agreement follows earlier moves to lock in forward Toumani Camara to a four-year extension and to keep Deni Avdija on a descending contract through 2027-28. All three wing deals are projected to account for less than 15 percent of the salary cap in each season.
