The Portland Trail Blazers and Atlanta Hawks have finalized a trade that sends 6-foot-8 guard Vit Krejci to Portland in exchange for center Duop Reath and two future second-round selections, ESPN’s Shams Charania reported.

Draft compensation heading to Atlanta includes the Hawks’ own 2027 second-round pick, which had previously been traded to Portland, and the New York Knicks’ 2030 second-rounder, according to Jake Fischer of The Stein Line.

Reath recently underwent season-ending foot surgery. The Hawks are expected to waive the 27-year-old to create an open roster spot, and salary-cap analyst Yossi Gozlan noted that injured big man NFaly Dante (torn ACL) could also be a candidate for release as Atlanta evaluates its options.

For Atlanta, the move provides additional draft assets and roster flexibility after last week’s acquisition of Corey Kispert.

The Blazers targeted Krejci to address outside shooting woes. The 23-year-old Czech native is converting better than 42 percent of his three-point attempts this season, while Portland ranks last in the NBA in that category. Krejci’s contract pays $2.3 million this year, carries a non-guaranteed salary for 2024-25, and includes a team option for 2025-26.

Marc Stein reported that Portland remains active on the trade market and intends to convert two-way players Caleb Love and Sidy Cissoko to standard deals after the Feb. 5 deadline.
