The Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame released its list of 2026 finalists this week, advancing the group to the Honors Committee for final consideration.
The ultimate Class of 2026 will be announced on April 4 during the men’s Final Four weekend.
North American Committee
Players: Blake Griffin, Kevin Johnson, Amar’e Stoudemire and Buck Williams.
Coaches/Referee: Joey Crawford (referee), Mark Few, Gary McKnight, Dick Motta, Doc Rivers, Kelvin Sampson and Jerry Welsh.
Women’s Committee
The ballot features the 1996 United States Women’s National Team along with individual standouts Jennifer Azzi, Elena Delle Donne, Chamique Holdsclaw and Candace Parker.
Other Committees
Women’s Veterans: Molly Bolin-Kazmer.
International: Coach Dušan Ivković.
Veterans: Marques Johnson.
Contributors: Tal Brody and Mike D’Antoni.
All finalists now await the Honors Committee vote that will determine who receives basketball’s highest accolade next spring.
