PHILADELPHIA, PA — Ariana Andonian is set to take over as general manager of the Delaware Blue Coats, the NBA G League affiliate of the Philadelphia 76ers, according to a report from HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto on Tuesday.
Andonian has served as the 76ers’ vice president of player personnel since September 2024. Her résumé includes stints as director of player personnel for the Memphis Grizzlies and scouting coordinator for the Houston Rockets. She earned an undergraduate degree from the University of Southern California in 2015 and an MBA from Duke University in 2020.
Load Management Proposal for Embiid and George
In a column for the Philadelphia Inquirer, Marcus Hayes argued that Philadelphia’s path back into the Eastern Conference race hinges on keeping oft-injured stars Joel Embiid and Paul George healthy. Hayes recommended aggressive load management: no participation in back-to-back contests, scheduled rest during select road trips, and as many as 17 games in which neither player would appear. He suggested limited action for both veterans until roughly the trade deadline.
Projected Knicks Lineup Tweaks
The Athletic’s James Edwards III outlined possible rotation adjustments ahead of New York’s training camp, which opens Sept. 24. Edwards projected Mitchell Robinson as the starting center and tabbed Josh Hart as the sixth man. His anticipated second unit features Jordan Clarkson, Miles McBride, Guerschon Yabusele, and Ariel Hukporti.
Elsewhere in the Atlantic Division, the Toronto Raptors will elevate Bobby Webster to a higher front-office role, continuing the organization’s internal restructuring.
