Oklahoma City Thunder forward Kenrich Williams is slated to undergo arthroscopic surgery on his left knee today, September 29, according to Michael Scotto of HoopsHype. The team will announce a recovery timetable after the procedure is completed.

Williams, 30, served as a key reserve during the Thunder’s championship run last season. He appeared in 69 games, started seven, and averaged 6.3 points, 3.5 rebounds and 1.4 assists in 16.4 minutes per contest while shooting 48.3 percent from the field, 38.6 percent from three-point range and 71.8 percent from the foul line.

Acquired from the New Orleans Pelicans in a four-team trade in 2020, Williams—known to fans as “Kenny Hustle”—has been a fixture in Oklahoma City’s rotation. He is set to earn $7.163 million this season, with the Thunder holding a team option for the same amount in 2026-27.

Oklahoma City’s depth is expected to help the club absorb Williams’ absence, but the surgery marks the second significant injury the defending champions have faced this month. Rookie center Thomas Sorber was previously ruled out for the season after suffering a torn ACL.
