Dallas, Jan. 9, 2026 — Mavericks forward/center Anthony Davis has suffered ligament damage in his left hand, according to ESPN reporters Shams Charania and Tim MacMahon.
The injury was disclosed Friday via social media. Davis is seeking a second medical opinion to determine whether surgery is necessary. If an operation is recommended, the eight-time All-Star could be sidelined for several months, the report said.
The team has not yet announced an official timetable for Davis’s return.
