Washington Wizards center Anthony Davis, still sidelined by a hand injury, said he already pictures a potent partnership with guard Trae Young once both are on the floor together.
In an interview with Monumental Sports Network, Davis described the potential pairing as a “dynamic duo,” pointing to Young’s shooting range and playmaking as ideal complements to his own inside game.
“I think we can be a dynamic duo,” Davis said. “The spacing and playmaking he brings are perfect for what we want to do.”
The 31-year-old veteran added that he is equally eager to anchor the front line beside rookie Alex Sarr. “On the defensive end, it’s going to be insane,” Davis noted, highlighting the combination of his experience and Sarr’s length.
Davis has yet to log a minute for the Wizards, and the team has not announced a timetable for his debut. Washington acquired him with an eye toward blending veteran leadership with its young core, and Davis indicated he is ready to help build that bridge as soon as he is cleared to play.
