Los Angeles — LeBron James and Stephen Curry both downplayed the possibility of representing the United States at the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles during an appearance on the “Mind the Game” podcast hosted by Steve Nash.

“You already know my answer,” James said when asked about a potential 2028 return. “I will be watching it.”

Curry offered a similarly pessimistic outlook. “God willing, I still have the choice and physical option where I could impact the team,” he said. “Never say never, but I highly doubt it. Highly doubt it.”

The two superstars shared the Olympic stage for the first time in 2024, helping Team USA secure gold in Paris by defeating host nation France after a comeback win over Serbia in the semifinals. “We can’t top what we just did,” James added. “How we gonna top those last two games?”

Early 2026 Mock Draft

Kansas guard Darryn Peterson landed at No. 1 in ESPN analyst Jeremy Woo’s initial 2026 mock draft. BYU’s AJ Dybantsa, Duke’s Cameron Boozer, Tennessee’s Nate Ament, and North Carolina’s Caleb Wilson rounded out the top five.

Beverley Assault Allegation

Details from Patrick Beverley’s recent arrest surfaced via TMZ, alleging the former NBA guard punched his sister in the eye and choked her for 20–30 seconds. Beverley, out of the league since the 2023-24 season, was arrested Friday and charged with assault of a family/household member.

Freeman-Liberty Returns to Brisbane

After leaving the Brisbane Bullets earlier this season for personal reasons, former NBA guard Javon Freeman-Liberty has re-signed with the Australian club for the remainder of the 2025-26 campaign, according to ESPN’s Olgun Uluc. Freeman-Liberty appeared in 22 regular-season games for the Toronto Raptors in 2023-24.
