Madrid, Spain — Oct. 28, 2025: Veteran center Alex Len has agreed to a multi-year contract with Real Madrid, according to HoopsHype’s Michael Scotto.

The agreement includes an NBA opt-out clause that would allow the 7-footer to return to the league next season.

Len, 32, became a free agent 10 days ago when the New York Knicks waived him. He had joined the Knicks on a non-guaranteed training-camp deal.

During the 2024/25 NBA campaign, the former No. 5 overall pick appeared in 36 games for the Sacramento Kings and another 10 for the Los Angeles Lakers. Over those 46 contests, he averaged 1.6 points and 2.1 rebounds in 8.3 minutes per game.

The Ukraine native signed with Los Angeles last March after Sacramento traded him to the Washington Wizards, who released him shortly afterward.

Across 12 NBA seasons with the Suns, Hawks, Kings, Raptors, Wizards, and Lakers, Len has posted career averages of 6.7 points and 5.3 rebounds.
