Denver Nuggets assistant coach David Adelman told reporters he believes the club could have almost its entire roster available with roughly 20 games left in the regular season, signaling possible returns for key rotation players within the next couple of weeks.
Gordon Close to Practice Clearance
Aaron Gordon has been sidelined since Jan. 23 because of a right hamstring strain. Adelman said the forward joined most of Tuesday’s practice, participating in conditioning and situational defensive drills but avoiding full-contact work. “He got up and down,” Adelman noted, adding the team will monitor Gordon on a day-to-day basis.
Watson Nearing Reevaluation
Peyton Watson, out since Feb. 4 with a left hamstring strain, is approaching an early-March reevaluation window. Denver has handled both players cautiously and does not intend to accelerate any timelines with the postseason in mind.
Roster Flexibility Remains
The Nuggets still have one open spot on their 15-man roster. League sources indicate the front office would like to add a wing with size if the right option emerges, but the organization appears content to await developments in the buyout market while prioritizing player health.
